חברת Take-Two Interactive הכריזה היום כי רכשה את חברת Illusion Softworks. חברה שהוקמה בשנת 1997 וברשותה מספר כותרים עצמאיים מעניינים: Mafia, Hidden & Dangerous ,Vietcong.
החברה גם מסרה פרטים על משחק ההמשך המצופה Mafia 2: המשחק יתרחש בשנות החמישים וימשיך לתאר את חייהן ועסקיהן של משפחות הפשע ב-Empire City. המשחק מתוסרט ע"י Daniel Vavra, התסריטאי של המשחק הראשון, ויצא לכל הפלטפורמות פרט ל-Wii: ה-360, PS3 והמחשב.
